Due to our own demand for plastic color mixtures (compounds and masterbatches) for cable production at the Roth site, our parent company, Bayerische Kabelwerke AG (Bayka), began developing color formulations and producing color concentrates as early as 1960, initially exclusively for the main plant in Roth, and then, from the 1980s onwards, also for the newly established subsidiaries in Berlin. This enabled us to significantly reduce the costs and delivery times of cable production.

With the steadily growing plastics industry and the diverse applications of colored plastics, the interest of external customers in our expertise and products gradually grew.

To accommodate this development and also to meet the diverse industry-specific requirements, the decision was made in 2005 to transfer the color concentrates, masterbatches, and compounds division into an independent company: Bayka Color Farbkonzentrate GmbH was born. We have been growing steadily ever since.
